PERSONAL STATEMENT

As a Ukrainian, native in both Ukrainian and Russian languages, I am looking to utilize my English skills within an interpretation/translation field. I believe that my profound knowledge of English, and my meticulous verbal abilities, alongside with half a decade of experience of conversing in English, will prepare me for a role within this industry.

EDUCATION

2022 – Present Professional associate degree in Computer Science
Lviv Polytechnic National University
Relevant modules:
• English language – 99% & 95%. During my studies at LPNU, I went through 2 semesters of studying English, mainly focusing on technical terms related to my degree. I have a written thesis on “AI’s impact on our daily life”, which I later delivered in a form of a presentation on a student conference in English.
Other modules: Advanced Math p.2 – 91%, Technology of developing critical thinking – 100%.
Notable achievements: Managed to stay #1 on students’ rating for 4 semesters in a row, averaging a score of 95%.

2024 – Present Bachelor’s degree in Economics and IT applications

WORK EXPERIENCE

2021 – 2024 IT Administrator/Assistant, Self-employed
I’ve worked at multiple educational institutions as their IT Administrator/assistant. Those include, but not limited to, Lviv Medical University, Medical Professional College “Monada”, and Lviv Medical Professional College “Medik”. My responsibilities consisted of the following:
• Ensuring stable connection to the internet for students, professors and other employees.
• Maintaining all the hardware is in good condition.
• Remote assistance with software issues.
• Hardware repairs/maintenance, such as the cleaning of laptops, and replacement of broken/outdated parts.

SKILLS

• IELTS Certified C2 level of English (Band 8.5 overall).
• Profound skills in Software engineering and IT administration.
• Scored 4th place in a national English Olympiad for 10th graders.
• Scored 191/200 on the National Multi-Test in English.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES/POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Spent around 5 years professionally competing in billiards, of which 3 years where dedicated to Snooker, where I had the pleasure of working with native English speakers. One of the speakers was my coach, who originally came from England. I had to act as a translator for other players on countless occasions, since I was one of the few people who spoke English at sufficient level.
• In January-February 2025, I was the team leader for a coding project in my college. We later defended our project, and my job was graded 5.0 for my efforts.
• On multiple occasions, I was set to direct multiple photoshoots, where I had to source the locations, equipment, models, and put it all together. Notably, there were no issues throughout any of them.

INTERESTS
• I am very keen on photography, because it allows me to let my creativity shine through.
• I am into video games to a moderate extent, because it helps me socialize and make connections with people.
• I have a big interest in fashion, so I try to look as presentable as possible.
• I have a lengthy experience in socializing with different people in English on multiple social platforms.
