Financial controlling:
-control over the preparation of financial and tax reporting in accordance with the requirements of local legislation
and corporate requirements (P&L, BS, CF, specialised corporate reports);
Budgeting:
-development and preparation of the annual budget of the Ukrainian division, plan-factor analysis of budget
execution results (monthly, YTD), preparation of forecasts and their correction based on the analysis of current data,
financial modelling, calculation of financial indicators and their analysis, etc.;
Setting up of internal control systems:
- development of local policies and procedures based on corporate documentation and compliance with legal
requirements (expense and payment approval system, responsibility matrix according to payment limits, accounting
policies, payroll regulations, travel regulations, health insurance accounting regulations, corporate and local reporting
regulations, procurement regulations, etc.). This reduced the risk of financial manipulation and strengthened controls
by 30%.
Optimisation of financial processes:
- successfully implemented a project to refine 1C UTP to form a monthly transformation file and upload data from 1C
to the corporate database (Oracle). I set up a mapping between the Ukrainian chart of accounts and US GAAP with
a description of transactions.This allowed us to eliminate the need for monthly manual data transfer from 1C to the
corporate ORACLE database. The month-end closing deadline in 1C was reduced to the fourth business day of the
following month instead of the twelfth.
Сontrol over the work of the accounting department_:
- implemented checklists for accountants in the areas of foreign economic activity, taxes, payroll, expense allocation
to relevant accounting items, etc;
- control intercompany settlements and tracking of overdue accounts (DSO);
- approve payments;
- reconciling the ICO agreements.
Productivity Improvement.
The following productivity improvement measures were implemented:
- developed template agreements (MSA) for clients and suppliers. Response time to inquiries was reduced by 20%;
- implemented a system for preparing, approving, and analyzing the fulfilment of purchase and sales orders, enabling
forecasting of expenses and revenues;
