Liza
My name is Liza Todorova. I’m a photographer in
love with film aesthetics, feminine imagery, and
genuine emotions. In my work, I explore strength,
tenderness, and authenticity, focusing on capturing
the inner world of a person through light, form, and
atmosphere.

 This is one of my favorite portraits because it
speaks about inner struggle — raw emotions
breaking through an outer “layer.” Through
texture, light, and gesture, I was able to capture a
state that can’t be explained in words — only felt.

I enjoy taking portraits because they allow me to see a
person more deeply — not just their appearance, but their
state, emotions, and character. A portrait is always a
dialogue, even if it’s a silent one. It’s important for me to
create an atmosphere of trust, where the person can truly
open up. That’s when something real appears.

I’m attentive to details — a glance, gestures, the light on a
face — and I subtly highlight these in the frame. I believe
this sensitivity and my genuine desire to see the person
as they are help me create powerful portraits.

I enjoy shooting landscapes because in nature I find
calmness, rhythm, and depth. It feels like a silent
conversation — just being present, observing,
feeling the moment, and capturing it. In my
landscapes, I look not just for a beautiful scene, but
for mood, atmosphere, and the story of the place

Most of my landscape photos are taken on film
cameras. Film allows me to experience time, light,
and texture differently — everything feels more
alive and real. I manage to capture these moments
well because I’m attentive to detail, I love
observing, and I know how to wait for my shot.
