Fleet, Roadside Maintenance Assistant

SA TRUCKING INC is looking for a reliable, quick-thinking Fleet & Roadside Maintenance Assistant to help our drivers resolve truck and trailer issues, coordinate repairs, and minimize downtime and repair costs.

What you’ll do:

• Respond to driver calls and messages within one minute during your assigned shift.
• Collect details about equipment issues, including location, symptoms, fault codes, and photos.
• Find repair shops, mobile mechanics, towing services, and roadside assistance.
• Compare estimates and negotiate pricing to find timely, cost-effective repairs.
• Guide drivers through safe basic inspections and minor troubleshooting within their training.
• Coordinate repairs, follow up with service providers, and keep drivers and dispatch updated.
• Track repair costs, invoices, and recurring maintenance issues.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in trucking, fleet maintenance, dispatch, or roadside assistance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of commercial trucks, trailers, and common mechanical issues.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay calm, act quickly, and manage multiple issues.
• Reliable internet, phone access, and a quiet workspace.
• Availability for assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays.

Schedule: Shift-based coverage supporting a 24/7 operation. You must be available and responsive throughout your assigned shift.
