Salary: 79,500 UAH per month gross / Approx. 64,000 UAH per month net

Job Purpose:

The primary aim is to assist with planning and delivery of a wide range of communications activity in relation to our Ukraine programme, including written and digital content for MAG’s social media channels and website & supporting our media relations, in line with MAG’s values, brand and in support of MAG’s objectives.

Job Description

• Working with colleagues in the Ukraine programme and the global communications team, plan and deliver a communications strategy in support of MAG’s organisational objectives and country programme objectives
• Help to maintain an editorial calendar for MAG Ukraine’s social media and web content
• Create engaging written and visual content for social media to engage our key audiences and grow new ones, including videos, text, images and infographics
• Maintain and update online content, including photography, and videos.
• Maintain a strong external awareness of changes in social media and digital best practice, and advise on and implement changes to MAG’s social and digital work in response.
• Potentially establish and manage Ukraine-specific social media channels
• Engage with Ukrainian and international media, maintaining a media contacts database and assisting in media field visits, to deliver outstanding media coverage that amplifies MAG Ukraine’s achievements and unique characteristics
• Project manage the delivery of content from across the Ukraine programme and support programme colleagues in the provision of reports and content to support donor relations and reporting.
• Where needed, ensure that content and communications is in line with donor requirements with regard to branding, type and quantity of content
• In coordination with the Government Liaison Coordinator, CD and Programme Advisor, provide specific communications planning and support to any HQ communications visit (or high value donor visit, or senior HJQ staff / Trustees / Ambassador visit) to Ukraine
• Occasionally work with other UK-based departments such as HR and finance as well as international programmes to meet their content creation needs.
• Draft written articles, including news stories, press releases, op-eds and blogs, for MAG’s website and for third party platforms.

• A solid understanding of how to grow social media audiences and website traffic.
• Significant experience of creating content for successful integrated campaigns.
• Experience of working with content management systems, with some experience of developing/managing a website.
• Experience in developing and implementing media relations strategies
• Strong experience of industry-standard editing and graphics tools eg Adobe Premier Adobe suite (InDesign/Photoshop/Premiere Pro) and post production.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Fluent in written and spoken Ukrainian and English
• Strong project management skills
• Strong copywriting and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and dedication to accuracy of information.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.

• Experience of working in a fast-paced hybrid environment

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable

• Ability to edit, produce and manage production of multimedia content such as photographs, infographics, film, and audio to a high-level using tools such as Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop, InDesign and Canva.
• Ability to use web-based publishing skills, including experience of content management systems and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
