Information Management Reporting Officer

Overview of role: The Information Management Reporting Officer (IMRO) performs information management tasks related to our external reporting requirements, namely: the identification, collection, verification, dissemination and analysis of mine action data in line with programme requirements. The IMRO reports to the Information Management Systems Manager.

Responsibilities:

Information Management:

Ensure that weekly and monthly reports are of good quality and submitted on time to the relevant authorities.

• Prepare data for weekly and monthly reports.
• Liaise with Programmes department to understand and fulfil donor reporting needs.
• Manage flow of hard copy data from the field offices to the various government reporting authorities
• Provide technical support to any MAG Ukraine staff in the areas of IM and GIS when requested.
• Ensure compliance with MAG country and global policies and practices related to IM.
• Ensure sharing and documentation of institutional knowledge and good practices within IM team.
• Perform IMO activities: the identification, collection, verification, dissemination and analysis of data as it relates to reporting requirements.
• Ensure overall accuracy, quality and integrity of data collected, processed and stored by MAG Ukraine.
• Keep track of reporting requirements and ensure IM department is aware of any changes or new requirements.

• He/ She is expected to maintain professional conduct in line with MAG’s core values as his/her actions represent MAG.
• Participate in meetings where relevant.
• Understand and uphold the standards outlined in MAG’s Safeguarding Framework, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with MAG’s work and reporting concerns if they do arise.
• Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
• Undertake any other duties as may be required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in related field of work (GIS, IM, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar) or equivalent experience
• Good level of competence in English is required.
• Solid understanding of GIS and ability to perform basic geospatial analysis.
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Ability and willingness to travel.

Additional, preferred skills:

• Experience with IMSMA is desired, but not required.
• Mine action background is desired, but not required.
• Experience with ESRI Survey 123 and Field maps preferred.
