After-Hours Dispatcher

Terms: Full-time

Employment: ФОП, the company covers all taxes and provides a paid training period, 2 weeks of paid vacation annually, 1 week of paid sick leave annually, and birthday leave.

Working Hours: 3 days on / 3 days off

Monday — Friday: 04:00 p.m. — 12:00 a.m. CST (12:00 a.m. — 08:00 a.m. Kyiv time)

Saturday — Sunday: 05:00 p.m. — 12:00 a.m. CST (01:00 a.m. — 08:00 a.m. Kyiv time)

About the Role:

The After-Hours Dispatcher is a critical role responsible for the coordination and management of ground-transported cargo during non-standard working hours. This position plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of deliveries and addressing any urgent situations that may arise outside of regular office hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate loads for deliveries during non-standard hours, maintaining effectiveness for the company.
• Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards during load pick-up, transit, and delivery.
• Update and maintain accurate equipment and load-related information in the corporate CRM, Google Drive, and loading board.
• Oversee and verify cargo loading and securement to ensure safe transportation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with freight brokers and customers, particularly during non-standard working hours.
• Resolve any freight-related problems, both internal and external, with brokers/shippers promptly to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with team members and drivers to address urgent situations or breakdowns that may occur during non-standard hours.
• Provide critical driver support using personal means of communication.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as a freight dispatcher or in a similar role within the transportation industry.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
• Familiarity with transportation management software systems (TMS) and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, especially during non-standard working hours.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
