Position Title: Finance Officer (Partnerships)

Duty Station: Kyiv

Type of Appointment: 11.12.2026 with the possibility of extention

Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Closing Date: 30 April2026 but applications will be reviewed on rolling basis and position could be assigned prior to closing date if we find a suitable candidate

Salary: 77 400 UAH gross / 59 598 UAH

About MAG in Ukraine:

Since the Russian invasion of 24th February, Ukraine has been subjected to heavy artillery bombardment, missiles, and air strikes, as well as the use of landmines and cluster munitions. The scale of the conflict and the use of high impact and indiscriminate weapons requires an urgent and extensive response. MAG seeks to save lives and build safer futures by providing risk education to communities, to help them stay safe. MAG is also in the process of seeking accreditation to start conducting explosive ordnance disposal and demining activities in Ukraine, to save the lives of people affected by the conflict.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidates information and prepares reports on the programmatic and project activities of the Branch in accordance with MAG’s corporate policy, specifically: • Preparation of a monthly report on the allocation of donor funds by contractors, expense categories, and projects in accordance with MAG’s corporate policy (Cashbook Report). Entering the necessary data into the corporate financial reporting system PSF;
  • Preparation of a monthly consolidated payroll report (Payroll Report), which includes verification of the data entries made by the accountant/registrar, specifically:
  • Prepares a monthly summary of information on cash inflows and outflows resulting from the Branch’s programmatic and project activities, in accordance with MAG corporate policy, categorized by expense types and activities (CashFlow);
  • Participates in preparing funding requests for the Partners and the Branch if needed (Funds Request);
  • If necessary, participates in the monthly summary of information on the allocation of donor funds for joint project expenses (Allocation Report), entering the required data;
  • Prepares expense estimates as needed. Ensures the timely and accurate preparation of necessary materials, detailed calculations, and the compilation of economically substantiated reports on the allocation of donor funds; • Adheres to the reporting deadlines according to MAG;
  • Conduct meetings with Partners at the stage of negotiation, prepare presentations for induction and information sessions. Be on standby for the support of partners and be able to spot problems during the implementation period.
  • Supports payments to Partners
  • Collects information and supports the preparation of reports on individual Donor/Partners projects, specifically:
  • Prepares reports detailing expenses related to a specific Donor, according to management requests and Donor reporting requirements, in the reporting formats provided by the Donors.
  • Provides necessary explanations and justifications, both orally and in writing (upon request), during the preparation of reports.
  • Ensures the legality, timeliness, and accuracy of document preparation and the development of economically justified reports on the allocation of Donor funds.
  • Supports the verification of Partners' financial reports, ensures that all supporting documents meet MAG and donor’s standards, and are eligible.
  • Assist to the Finance Partnership Manager (FPM) and the Finance Manager (FM) in internal and external audits and preparing donor reports.
  • Supports the verification of financial transactions per projects
  • Carries out financial support activities in accordance with MAG standards, namely:
  • Maintaining the contract register, storage and systematization of contracts;
  • If necessary, participate in the development and implementation of rational planning and accounting documentation, advanced forms and methods of accounting based on the use of modern computer equipment.
  • If necessary, participates in the drafting and preparation of orders related to business trips, the Branch’s transport policy, and other regulatory documents for project activities.
  • If necessary, consolidate information and prepare calculations for donor budgets, in particular:
  • Analyzing and estimating future expenditures and revenues from partners
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted indicators and identify deviations.
  • Prepare calculations and make necessary adjustments when revising Partners budgets.
  • May participate in any projects and meetings related to the financial department.
  • Any other relevant tasks as assigned.

ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Language required English and Ukrainian.
  • Experience working as a Finance Officer/Accountant in a Civil Society Organization
  • Knowledge of the general tax law applicable to international and local NGO
  • Familiar with PSF and BAF accounting systems
  • Flexibility to work in a multicultural environment
