Research, Development Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Food Chemist to join our team in Latvia. This role involves the development, testing, and implementation of food colour solutions, working closely with production and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of technical documentation (quality certificates, specifications, safety data sheets, etc.)
• Development and optimization of food colours and formulations
• Evaluation of product stability and compatibility
• Work with analytical methods (preferably GC, HPLC)
• Testing of developed products in final applications
• Collaboration with Quality and Production departments
• Implementation of developed products into production.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field
• Experience in the food industry (preferred but not mandatory if strong lab background)
• Knowledge of food chemistry and formulation
• Laboratory experience (sample prep, stability testing, formulation adjustment)
• Experience with scaling products into production is a strong advantage
• English (required); Multilingual skills (knowledge of additional languages) are a plus.
• High attention to detail and responsibility
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to relocate to Latvia (EU)
