1. About Ukraine is Europe
Ukraine is Europe (UiE) is a French humanitarian organization coordinating large‑scale health, psychosocial, and reintegration projects in Ukraine. UiE leads the consortium implementing the Dnipro Medical and Reintegration Center (CMRD)—a strategic, multi‑sectoral center endorsed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health and the Dnipro Regional Administration (ODA).
To strengthen the project’s long‑term sustainability and fundraising capacity, UiE is recruiting a Grants Manager / Grants Writer to support resource mobilization, donor relations, and grant compliance.
2. Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Fundraising
• Identify national and international funding opportunities (institutional donors, foundations, private sector, UN agencies, EU, etc.).
• Lead the writing of high‑quality grant proposals (narratives, logframes, indicators, budgets).
• Coordinate inputs from the CMRD’s medical, psychosocial, rehabilitation, and social reintegration teams.
• Prepare budgets and financial projections in collaboration with UiE’s financial team.
Grant Management & Compliance
• Manage the full grant cycle: applications, contracts, compliance, reporting, extensions.
• Produce accurate and compelling narrative and financial donor reports.
• Ensure donor rules, contractual obligations, procurement standards, and financial guidelines are respected.
• Monitor spending, burn rates, deadlines, risks, and required contract amendments.
Donor Relations & Strategic Development
• Maintain professional communication with donors and partners.
• Support UiE in developing a long‑term fundraising strategy for the CMRD.
• Strengthen UiE’s internal grant management tools, processes, and documentation.
• Contribute to impact measurement and evidence‑based reporting.
Internal Coordination
• Collaborate closely with:
• UiE Executive Director
• CMRD Director
• UiE program, finance, and MEAL teams
• Consortium partner NGOs
3. Required Profile
Professional Experience
• 3−5 years of experience in grant writing or grants management (NGO, humanitarian, development, health, or social sectors).
• Proven track record of successful proposals for international donors (EU, USAID, UN agencies, GIZ, foundations).
• Experience in budget development and donor compliance.
Skills
• Excellent writing, analytical, and structuring skills.
• Strong understanding of project cycles, indicators, and MEAL principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• High proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace.
Languages
• English: advanced (C1) — required.
• Ukrainian: — an advantage.
Personal Qualities
• Organized, detail‑oriented, reliable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, autonomous, able to work under tight deadlines.
• Motivation to contribute to humanitarian and recovery programs in Ukraine.
