Compliance Specialist (DOT Hours of Service, USA Trucking)

Voyager Nation Inc. is a growing U.S.-based trucking company seeking a detail-oriented DOT Hours of Service & Compliance Specialist to join our team. If you have experience working with U.S. trucking companies and understand FMCSA regulations, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and DOT compliance, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a long-term remote position with opportunities for growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) daily.
• Review and correct ELD log violations.
• Contact drivers regarding log edits, missing logs, and compliance issues.
• Monitor and track expiring DOT compliance items, including:
  • CDL licenses
  • DOT Medical Certificates
  • Annual DOT Inspections
  • Driver Qualification File documents
  • Vehicle registrations and permits
  • Insurance requirements
• Maintain accurate Driver Qualification Files (DQFs).
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Assist drivers with ELD troubleshooting and HOS questions.
• Prepare compliance reports for management.
• Maintain organized compliance records and documentation.
• Work closely with dispatch and operations to keep the fleet compliant.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with a U.S. trucking company.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service.
• Experience using ELD platforms such as:
  • Motive
  • Samsara
  • KeepTruckin / Motive
• Experience with Driver Qualification Files.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets experience.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years working in U.S. trucking safety or compliance.
• Experience monitoring fleets of 25+ trucks.
• Knowledge of DOT audits and CSA scores is a plus.
