The Role

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Legal Counsel with 2+ years of professional legal experience to join Digital Lawyers on a full-time, fully remote basis.

This role is for someone who wants to develop into a strong international lawyer rather than simply perform routine legal work.

A must-have is a genuine desire to learn, improve quickly and build deep expertise in:

• venture capital and startup law;
• legal support for AI and technology companies;
• cross-border corporate structuring;
• international litigation and arbitration.

You will work directly with senior lawyers, international clients, U.S. and UK law from the outset and will be expected to take meaningful responsibility for substantive legal work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with venture capital transactions, fund structures, corporate reorganizations and cross-border transactions.
• Draft and negotiate U.S.-style venture capital and startup documentation, including SAFEs, convertible instruments, side letters, shareholders' agreements and other investment documents.
• Support U.S. and UK litigations and international arbitration proceedings under different institutional rules.
• Conduct sophisticated legal and case law research across U.S., UK and other jurisdictions.
• Draft legal memoranda, opinions, claims, complaints, demand letters and other legal documents.
• Research and advise on legal issues affecting AI companies, startups, venture funds and emerging technology businesses.
• Advise on corporate, securities, regulatory (in particular, export control, investment screening, dual-use) and compliance matters.
• Assist with digital asset, Web3 and tokenization structures where relevant.
• Coordinate with local counsel and legal teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Regularly prepare professional articles and analytical materials on developments in venture capital, AI, technology and international disputes.

Who We Are Looking For

Must Have

• 2+ years of professional legal experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine desire to learn and excel professionally.
• Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
• As most of the work will be in English, fluent oral and strong written English is a must.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use AI tools critically, effectively, and professionally.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and meet demanding professional standards.
• Genuine intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to become an expert in venture capital, AI-related legal work and international dispute resolution.
• High work ethic, ambition and willingness to learn quickly.

Strong Advantage

• Experience at a leading Ukrainian or international law firm or Big Four legal practice, particularly in corporate / M&A, VC/PE and investments, and international dispute resolution.
• LL.M. from a common law jurisdiction and familiarity with common law.
• Experience working with VC funds, startups and technology companies.
