• Leading the migration of a fintech currency-exchange platform (i-change) from a legacy PHP/Yii2 monolith to
an event-driven microservices platform built with Python and FastAPI.
• Decomposed an overloaded legacy “clients” domain into bounded-context services (client, compliance,
document, currency, financial-office), each with its own PostgreSQL database and Alembic migrations.
• Built a shared event-sourcing library implementing the transactional outbox pattern and idempotent
consumers on Kafka (Redpanda) for reliable, at-least-once cross-service messaging.
• Instrumented services end-to-end with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Jaeger; deployed on Kubernetes
behind a Linkerd service mesh, with Docker and Terraform-managed infrastructure.
• Authored per-service OpenAPI contracts and auto-generated TypeScript clients, enabling contract-first
frontend/backend development across the platform.
• Maintained and extended the legacy i-change platform (PHP/Yii2, Vue.js), integrating AWS (S3, KMS),
Elasticsearch, Stripe/PayMe payments, SendGrid, Google APIs, and the WhatsApp Business API.
• Contributed to signdoc, a related e-signature product, building PDF-generation pipelines and MongoDB/SOAP
integrations.
