Dec-2020 - Sep-2022 - EPAM Systems, https://www.epam.com/
Project Roles: Engineer, sub-leader
Project Description: This project includes discovery and delivery of the cloud-based solution for order placement and fulfilment systems.
Responsibilities:
• ODP project has 2 phases - option 3 and option 4.
• Our team participated in the migration of the Hybris on-premise solution for order placement into SAP Hybris Cloud. As a result, the Hybris on-premise solution continued to be responsible for order fulfillment, and the new SAP Hybris Cloud solution took the role of the order placement system. I took part in the discovery, estimation, and implementation of various business requirements, became familiar with Microsoft Azure and SAP Commerce Cloud Portal, and got a sub-leader role several times. One of the most significant features that I implemented - Message Store pattern for communication between SAP Hybris Cloud and Hybris on-prem. It allows messages to be persisted and sent by systems to each other. Messages persistence mechanism guarantees durability of integration between SAP Hybris Cloud and Hybris on-prem.
• After option 3’s release, I took part in the development of option 4. The primary objective of this phase of the ODP project is to replace Hybris on-premise completely with a Spring-based Java application and Azure Functions. During the development, I improved my skills in such technologies as Spring Data, Hibernate, Gradle, Docker, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Active Directory. Before option 4, I had limited experience with these technologies since I worked mostly as a Hybris developer. Example of a challenge I faced on option 4 - develop an authentication mechanism in a Java application for third-party apps, registered in Azure Active Directory as Service Principals.
