Designed and optimized URL microservice responsible for resolving slugs achieving 22,000+ RPS with
p99 < 60ms latency under 700 concurrent clients, using multi-layer caching (in-memory LRU + Redis),
async Kafka producer with batch processing and worker pool
Achieved 80% test coverage with unit and integration tests using testcontainers-go to spin up real
PostgreSQL instances in isolated environments, and implemented end-to-end tests covering the full
application workflow.
Optimized a high-load stats service by redesigning Kafka consumer architecture: implemented batch
processing, and aggregated statistics schema — achieving 110x throughput improvement (150 →
16,400 events/sec)
