Game Designer’s responsibility is to define how the game plays and what elements it should have, shaping the game’s vision and communicating it to the team.

You’d develop and document game features in a coherent, concise and comprehensive manner, so that they can be converted into game assets and program code — as well as to propose innovations proactively. Your scope of work would include a lot of communication.

We’re looking for a candidate with a solid theory background behind their design decisions: capable of reasoning and proving the feasibility of their solutions, and to provide data-driven proofs of a concept.


  • Passion for video games and game development
  • Proficiency with gameplay and player experience design
  • Understanding design language and methods rooted in theoretical knowledge
  • Proficiency with at least one of applied game design disciplines: level or mission design, 3Cs design, game systems design, game balancing, game economy design, scripting, UI design or cinematic and narrative storytelling
  • Creativity in general and ability to find out-of-box solutions within production and design constraints, when standard game design procedures do not apply
  • Great communication skills, proactivity, and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Strong logic and analytical thinking, ability to tell the difference between opinion and analysis
  • Ongoing gaming experience on both mobile and other platforms, awareness of mobile game market and industry trends
  • English (full working proficiency)
  • Proficiency with any game editors and prototyping tools (Unreal, Unity, etc.)
  • Strong pitching and presentation skills
  • Past working experience in a programming, scripting, 2D or 3D art, scriptwriting or video directing
  • Special education in game design, architecture, psychology or computer programming

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • To contribute to the entrusted game depending on the project needs and your own skillset
  • To collaborate proactively with your team and superiors in order to design, prototype and pitch concepts for gameplay mechanics, new systems and features, game levels and content and to adjust and balance those concepts to feel fun and fair.
  • To communicate a design solutions and vision to the team and management. To keep the team apprised of changes and iterations in game design, to inspire team to the highest level of execution quality possible in the existing design and production constraints.
  • To build, support, and maintain consistently clear and comprehensive design documentation.
  • To analyze game features — both of Gameloft games and their competitors with keeping the team updated on industry trends, relevant benchmarks and potential improvements to game KPIs and quality of player’s life.
  • To provide the team with a player’s experience approach to the game: developing and communicating empathy with players, their needs, interests and motivations.
  • To implement and debug game content via game engine tools, asset editors, localization and balancing sheets, etc.

No requirements to the experience:

For people seeking this job, the experience in game development industry is valued but never mandatory.
