Marketing Associate Vice President (Demand Generation)

About the role

Technology solutions company is seeking a creative, dynamic leader with expertise in demand generation across the end-to-end marketing lifecycle. This leader will grow new logo business as well as increased penetration in existing accounts. Also will drive significant pipeline development for the business, and manage a team across account-based marketing, global events, as well as digital marketing.

The successful candidate should have an intimate understanding of today’s digitally-led, omni-channel marketing mix; it is imperative the incumbent understands enterprise buying cycles and ultimately how to target, convert, and qualify thousands of business-to-business contacts/leads on a quarterly basis.

This is a leadership position, reporting to the executive in charge of global marketing and communications. Applicants who demonstrate experience leading global teams in a matrix environment to deliver significant growth in pipeline will be given prime consideration.


  • Formulate and execute the strategy by which Global Marketing and Communications generates and qualifies inbound and outbound leads
  • Manage a team of three direct reports and organizations: account-based marketing, events management, and digital marketing (respectively)
  • Develop inbound/outbound lead generation strategy for digital and offline channels including: SEM/PPC, Social, Display/Re-targeting, Events, Webinars, Websites, Review Sites, Email, Associations, and Offline Channels
  • Develop and launch end-to-end lead nurturing to enhance the account-based marketing practice; dedicated support for large deals within existing customer accounts
  • Develop an annualized calendar of events — ranging from webinars to face-to-face events, in partnership with sales leadership, product/service teams, and more
  • Collaborate in the day-to-day with sales and sales leadership to create the demand needed
  • Partner with product marketing and content marketing to ensure assets are optimized for pipeline generation and qualification criteria and expectations are set
  • Laser-focus on data — ongoing analysis and effectiveness of targeting to ensure consistent ROI across omni-channel campaigns, with a view to consistently optimize conversion
  • Conduct A/B tests across channels to continuously optimize campaign and channel performance


  • Superior command of Hubspot, Marketo or other marketing automation software, CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • 10+ years of experience in an enterprise-level role driving lead and demand generation across multiple lines of business; experience in a high-tech or other fast-paced, disruptive environment is a must
  • 1−2 years' experience in a start-up environment strongly preferred
  • Agility — innovative thinking and flexibility to change course when necessary, to achieve results
  • Ability to lead, manage and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration — ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and within the Global Marketing team; a fundamental understanding of the role of transparency and teamwork
  • Multi-cultural inclusion and diversity mindset essential; International experience essential
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, particularly with highly diverse teams
  • Leadership — the incumbent should be excited by the prospect of growing and leading global teams
