Intellias is looking for a Senior System Engineer to help support and scale delivery platform. Candidates should have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. This role will be part of a small team of engineers at HERE, who own infrastructure services and Tier 3 level support of the Service Delivery Platform, which is built to host and orchestrate the Continuous Delivery of Service and Data Processing Components in a repeatable fashion.

Tier 3 Support provides in-depth subject matter expertise to resolve incidents in hosting, middleware and core services and products. Required to resolve complex incidents and be involved in problem management.

  • Provide Tier 3 level support — participating in a 24×7 call rotation: work in shifts to provide readiness for rear priority incidents;
  • Ensure the effective monitoring of all aspects of system and application behavior, ensuring compliance with SLAs and performance requirements;
  • Deployment of production-ready systems and infrastructure;
  • Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects;
  • Communicate with DevOps engineers an developers from other teams to troubleshoot malfunctions across downstream components of the platform;
  • Update Knowledge Base, e.g. Application Support Cookbooks, Administration Guides, Installation & Configuration Docs for Tier 2 to provide support.


  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator with at least 2 years supporting a highly-available, 24×7 production environments;
  • Production operations and software engineering background;
  • Experience with public cloud, specifically AWS. A «cloud-first» mentality is essential. We use EC2, EMR, S3, Route 53, VPC;
  • Fluency in Bash and Python with a focus on development and delivery of infrastructure as a service;
  • Advanced knowledge of network security, communications protocols, troubleshooting commands and tools;
  • Expertise in network and application monitoring and alerting systems;
  • Knowledge of basic CI/CD tools chain: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes;
  • Clear understanding of the software development lifecycle.

As a plus:

  • Hands-on experience with Consul Cluster.
