Customer support representative (Safety Department)

Load N Go is looking for a Safety Assistant with strong communication skills to focus on direct interaction with drivers regarding safety violations recorded in Samsara. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance, supporting our drivers, and upholding our commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Call drivers to discuss safety violations recorded in Samsara (e.g., speeding, harsh braking, HOS violations).
• Clearly explain the importance of compliance and how to correct unsafe behaviors.
• Listen to driver concerns with patience and professionalism.
• De-escalate tense situations and ensure drivers feel heard and supported.
• Assist with daily safety and compliance operations under the direction of the Head of Safety.
• Maintain detailed records of all driver interactions and follow-ups.
• Assist with other administrative safety tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• English B2 (spoken and written).
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Stress-resistant, calm under pressure, and professional in tough conversations.
• Previous experience in trucking, dispatch, or driver communication is a plus.
• Familiarity with Samsara or other telematics systems is preferred.
• Uderstanding of DOT and FMCSA safety rules is helpful.
