Full-Stack Python, PHP Developer

LightSoft is seeking a talented Full-Stack Python + PHP Developer for a full-time remote position. High-load video hosting projects.

Responsibilities:

As a pivotal team member, you will:

• Develop and maintain backend services primarily in Python (Django/Django REST) and PHP.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Bug fixing
• Manage and improve legacy projects developed in PHP.
• Migrate functionality from legacy systems to modern RESTful services.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of robust, scalable solutions at the architectural level.

Required Skills:

We are seeking candidates with:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Python web development.
• Strong proficiency in Django/Django REST framework.
• Solid experience with PHP and understanding of best practices in PHP development.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design.
• Expertise with Redis, Celery, and SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in Docker.
• Experience working in Agile environments (preferably Kanban).
• Solid grasp of OOP, design patterns, and general software development principles.

Nice to Have:

It would be a plus if you also have:

• Experience with high-load, distributed systems.
• Strong front-end skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
• Experience with Sphinx documentation or search engines.
