Senior React Native/Kotlin Developer

We’re a fast-moving healthtech AI startup building scalable, real-world mobile products, and we’re looking for a Senior React Native / Kotlin Developer who loves solving hard problems and creating state-of-the-art mobile experiences.

Who We Are

• Seed-stage healthtech startup backed by a number of partners, angel investors, and bootstrapped by the founders
• Building an AI-powered, empathic medical concierge for chronic disease management
• Currently developing a pilot to be launched in Q1 2026
• Team of 40: doctors, AI engineers (ex-Amazon/Microsoft), UX and Behavior experts, clinical practitioners, ex-CTOs
• Remote-first, with core team distributed across US and EU

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale mobile app screens and user flows using React Native
• Deliver smooth, high-performance experiences on Android and iOS
• Design efficient data flows, pagination, caching, and state management
• Apply DSA and Big-O thinking pragmatically to front-end and service-layer challenges
• Work closely with product and backend teams to ship features quickly
• Take ownership of features from idea to production
• Help shape mobile architecture as the product scales

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in software development
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system efficiency
• 3+ years React Native in production environments
• Solid Kotlin experience for Android development
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, rendering, and async data handling
• Ability to report directly to the Director of Engineering as a member of 10+ development team
• A builder mindset — you like moving fast without breaking things
• Clear communication and comfort working in a distributed startup team

Bonus Points

• Experience scaling mobile apps or high-traffic systems
• Familiarity with cloud or AI-powered backends
• Curiosity about emerging tech and modern tooling
