React Native + Firebase | AI-Native | Remote

About the Role

Clovo is building a next-generation prehabilitation mobile app to support patients preparing for surgery and cancer treatment.

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Mobile App Developer to join us on a full-time, 30-day rolling contract, working exclusively on Clovo. You’ll work closely with the founding team, based in Glasgow, Scotland, and take real ownership of the mobile app foundations as the product evolves.

This is a remote team role, with responsibility, continuity, and pride in the codebase.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining a high-quality React Native mobile app for iOS and Android
• Translating Figma designs into clean, scalable, production-ready components
• Owning frontend architecture and component structure
• Contributing to backend foundations using Firebase and Cloud Functions
• Designing systems that make future design and feature changes fast to ship
• Writing clear documentation and README files to support future development
• Working iteratively with designers and founders to improve product quality over time

This role focuses on foundational app development. It does not include clinical logic, payments, AI/ML models, or real patient data.

AI-Native Development Expectations

We expect you to actively use modern AI coding tools as part of your everyday workflow.

You should be comfortable:

• Using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar
• Generating and refining scaffolding and boilerplate with AI
• Reviewing, refactoring, and validating AI-generated code
• Explaining how AI helps you work faster and better
• Creating markdown documentation to support future agent-based development

AI-assisted development is a core requirement, not a bonus.

Experience with Expo, structured logging, and mobile performance optimisation is a plus.

Working Style & Commitment

• Full-time commitment (40 hours per week)
• Exclusive focus on Clovo during the contract
• Async-first working style
• Availability for overlap with UK working hours
• Comfortable joining short video calls when needed
• Clear, regular communication on progress and blockers

Contract Details

• Full-time contract role (remote)
• 30-day rolling contract, renewed monthly
• Contractor basis
• Monthly rate agreed in advance
• Clear goals set at the start of each contract period
