• Ssangyong E&C is a leading Korean global construction company with extensive experience in infrastructure, industrial facilities, building projects, and real estate development across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and emerging markets
• Since 1977, Sssangyong has successfully delivered projects in international markets through its overseas operations including Asia, Middle East and Africa region.
• To support Ukraine’s reconstruction and long-term development, Ssangyong Ukraine LLC was registered in September 2025. Through its Ukraine subsidiary, Ssangyong plan to commence and expand long-term local business operations, engaging with Ukraine authorities, international donors and IFIs.

Position Overview

• Ssangyong E&C is seeking a highly strategic and well-connected Business Development Manager to lead stakeholder engagement and represent the company’s interests through its Ukraine entity in Ukraine’s reconstruction ecosystem.
• The business development manager will build relationships with Ukrainian government agencies, donor organizations, and international financing institutions to identify opportunities, shape policy awareness, and support project positioning.
• The position requires deep familiarity with Ukraine’s regulatory environment, and the ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments across the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to Ssangyong’s mission of supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction and recovery
• Identify, assess, structure and scale new project opportunities in infrastructure, industrial and building sectors aligned with Ssangyong’s mission and client needs
• Establish relationships with government bodies, municipalities, and IFIs (EBRD, EIB, World Bank and etc.)
• Conduct market research, project/tender intelligence, and competitor analysis
• Support tender monitoring, RFP analysis, and bid preparation
• Represent Ssangyong E&C in meetings, events, and field visits in Ukraine
• Follow up clients, suppliers, and local counterparts to ensure steady progress and alignment
• Prepare concise presentations, summaries and communications materials for partners and clients
• Coordinate communications between Korea HQ and Ukraine entity, if necessary

Qualifications and Experience

Ukrainian required. Fluent in English (oral and written) and strong communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or relevant field (advanced degree preferred) or demonstrated relevant experience

8+ years of BD or project development experience — background in business development, partnerships, international relations or donor-funded projects

IFI project experience and/or real estate development experience preferred

Strong understanding of project economy including deep understanding of Ukraine’s public procurement system, reconstruction framework, and development strategies

• Strong understanding of Ukraine’s political, regulatory, and business environment.
• Demonstrated experience preferred working with or within government bodies such as:
  • The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development
  • Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development
  • Other project-awarding government ministries and agencies
  • Donor institutions (WB, EBRD, EIB, IFC, etc.)
