About the Project

We are looking for an experienced OpenCart Developer to join our team and work on a complex e-commerce platform with multiple integrations. The project involves building and maintaining custom modules, implementing bidirectional synchronization with external systems, and integrating a headless CMS layer.

Requirements

PHP & Architecture

• Strong proficiency in PHP with solid understanding of MVC and OOP principles
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

OpenCart Expertise

• Hands-on experience with OpenCart 3.x or 4.x
• Deep understanding of OpenCart architecture including OCMOD, event system, and library structure
• Proven track record of developing custom modules and extensions

Integration Skills

• Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs
• Ability to connect and integrate external CRM systems
• Familiarity with Directus or similar headless CMS platforms for content management

Data Synchronization

• Experience implementing complex sync logic between e-commerce platforms and external systems
• Understanding of bidirectional stock and price exchange mechanisms
• Knowledge of cron jobs, queue systems, and conflict resolution strategies

Languages

• English — professional working proficiency
• Russian — required (our client base is in Baltic states and Central Asia). We do not work with Russian companies or entities affiliated with the Russian Federation.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating ERP or warehouse management systems
• MySQL optimization skills, particularly with large datasets
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with multi-store or multi-currency configurations

Engagement Terms

• Remote position, full-time commitment
• Must be comfortable working with an existing codebase
• Participation in code reviews is expected
