We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Purchasing Department to lead and scale our international purchasing operations within the HVAC and industrial cooling sector.

This executive role is responsible for defining procurement strategy, developing global supplier partnerships, managing performance-driven teams, and delivering ambitious annual purchasing targets measured in volume, capacity, and budget efficiency.

The Head of Purchasing Department will act as a key decision-maker, directly influencing profitability, market expansion, and long-term supplier positioning across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Define and execute the global procurement strategy aligned with company growth objectives
  • Oversee international sourcing of chillers and industrial HVAC equipment
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with manufacturers and distributors
  • Lead high-level commercial negotiations and framework agreements
  • Evaluate market opportunities, pricing trends, and supplier competitiveness

Supplier & Market Development

  • Expand supplier portfolio with a focus on factories and official distributors
  • Strengthen presence in priority markets including Italy, France, Poland, and other strategic regions
  • Identify new procurement channels, stock opportunities, and emerging markets
  • Drive expansion of high-demand equipment segments:
  1. Ammonia chillers
  2. Centrifugal chillers
  • Represent the company at international exhibitions, factory visits, and industry events

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and scale an international procurement team
  • Establish clear performance standards and accountability
  • Implement KPI-driven management systems across procurement operations
  • Oversee CRM discipline, reporting accuracy, and workflow transparency
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and strategic alignment meetings

Planning, Reporting & Financial Control

  • Full responsibility for procurement planning:
  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual horizons
  • Ownership of procurement budgets and volume targets
  • Oversight of supplier pricing models and margin optimization
  • Preparation and presentation of executive-level reports
  • Management of compensation models, bonuses, and incentive structures

2026 Strategic Targets

  • Double total purchased capacity vs. 2025
  • Increase share of reliable, repeat B2B suppliers
  • Secure new active distributors with stock availability
  • Strengthen Italian procurement operations
  • Launch structured development of the French market
  • Analyze and enter new strategic markets (with focus on Poland)

Operational Excellence & Knowledge Systems

  • Build a centralized procurement knowledge ecosystem, including:
  • Unified equipment evaluation framework
  • Standardized assessment checklists
  • Market pricing benchmarks by country and technology
  • Supplier performance rating system
  • Communication and negotiation templates

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Senior-level experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership
  • Strong background in international B2B negotiations
  • Proven experience managing cross-border supplier networks
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to operate both on executive and operational levels
  • High level of ownership, autonomy, and accountability
  • Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a strong advantage
