Ви прагнете системних змін у сфері охорони довкілля? Маєте глибокі знання права та хочете спрямувати їх на захист української природи? Ми шукаємо фахівця/-чиню, який/яка допоможе інтегрувати пріоритети збереження біорізноманіття у національне законодавство та політику України. Це можливість стати одним з ключових голосів у розробці правових рішень для відновлення природи та зміцнення екологічного урядування в країні.

Тож попереду багато складних та амбітних задач:

• Розробка та аналіз правових документів: підготовка проєктів законів, регуляторних актів, надання юридичних висновків та аналітичних записок у сфері охорони природи.

• Експертний супровід проєктів: забезпечення високої методологічної якості та відповідності стандартам WWF у межах реалізації природоохоронних проєктів.

• Адвокація та стратегічне планування: розробка планів залучення заінтересованих сторін та впровадження адвокаційних кампаній для просування екологічних реформ.

• Взаємодія з органами влади: підтримка конструктивного діалогу з урядовими структурами, парламентом, експертними спільнотами та міжнародними партнерами.

• Розвиток нових напрямів: участь у розробці інноваційних концепцій та проєктних пропозицій щодо реформування екологічного права.

Буде перевагою, якщо ви маєте:

• Вищу юридичну освіту у галузі екологічного права.

• Щонайменше 5 років професійного досвіду в екологічному праві, юридичному консалтингу або правовому супроводі природоохоронних проєктів.

• Глибоке розуміння законодавчої бази України щодо охорони біорізноманіття та інституційних механізмів у цій сфері.

• Високі комунікативні навички: здатність просто пояснювати складні юридичні питання, вести дипломатичні перемовини та працювати в міжнародному середовищі.

• Відмінне володіння українською та англійською мовами (усно та письмово).

WWF-Ukraine is seeking to recruit a Senior Expert Nature Conservation Legislation to join the WWF-Ukraine team.

Mission

To contribute to strengthening environmental governance in Ukraine and ensuring the integration of biodiversity and nature conservation priorities into national legislative and policy frameworks conservation priorities into national legislative and policy frameworks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure a high professional and methodological standard, and compliance with WWF standards, in the preparation of legal, policy and institutional materials related to nature conservation and biodiversity.

• Prepare, analyse and review draft legislation, regulatory assessments, legal opinions, and analytical and policy documents.
• Provide expert input to project implementation, including the development and delivery of legal, regulatory and policy components, ensuring their quality and timely execution in line with WWF standards.
• Participate in activity planning, including drafting and refining workplans and designing policy engagement processes, consultation mechanisms and advocacy interventions.
• Support engagement with governmental bodies, parliamentary structures, regulatory institutions, expert communities, civil society organizations and international partners in the areas of environmental legislation and environmental governance.
• Prepare and review policy briefs, analytical notes, legal summaries, technical documents and presentations.
• Provide expert contributions to donor reporting, focusing on legal analysis, assessment of legislative developments, legal risks, regulatory compliance and progress in legal and regulatory components of projects.
• Provide legal and substantive support to communication products and advocacy activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of legal and policy messaging in accordance with WWF standards.
• Contribute to the development of new project proposals and concepts in the areas of environmental law reform, biodiversity protection, nature conservation and environmental governance strengthening.

The ideal candidate would have:

• Higher legal education (law) with a specialization in environmental law.
• Strong understanding of the legal framework for nature conservation and biodiversity protection in Ukraine, including relevant legislation, regulations and institutional mechanisms.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in environmental and nature conservation law, legal consulting, or legal support of environmental projects.
• Experience in nature conservation policy, biodiversity management or regulatory development is considered an asset.

• Strong coordination, planning and organizing skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Ukrainian and English.
