What You’ll Do

• Following a protocol’s quickstart guide to deploy a new node type (example: Gonka Quickstart for Hosts)
• Deploy and maintain blockchain nodes and ML inference servers on high-end rented GPU hardware (H100, H200)
• Constantly optimise nodes for better performance and higher rewards
• Configure Docker containers, manage networking, and ensure security best practices
• Monitor node health, uptime, and earnings
• Automate deployments so we can scale from 10 to 100+ nodes
• Troubleshoot issues—whether it’s a Tendermint consensus failure or a CUDA version mismatch
• Handle cryptographic keys securely (wallets, validators, access keys
• Building a Telegram bot that alerts you when a node goes down or rewards are paid
• Creating a simple automation script that swaps tokens for stablecoins at a specific time each week
• Debugging why a new protocol version isn’t connecting to the network

The Reality of This Role

This is not a standard 9-to-5 DevOps job.

You’ll be working with emerging protocols where:

• Documentation changes constantly (Gonka is a perfect example)
• You’ll often need to figure things out before they’re clearly explained
• New protocols appear regularly and we need to explore them quickly
• Things break in unexpected ways and you need to adapt on the fly

The work itself is not intense during normal hours — it’s mostly monitoring, small tweaks, and continuous optimisation. But when something breaks or a new deployment is needed, you need to act fast.

Weekend availability is required because node deployments and protocol upgrades often happen outside business hours. You won’t be working 24/7, but you need to be online when deployments happen.

If you enjoy stable, predictable work with perfect documentation — this role is not for you.

If you like being early, figuring things out, and building infrastructure for technology that doesn’t fully exist yet — perfect.

What We’re Looking For

Must have:

• 3+ years in DevOps, SysAdmin, or infrastructure roles
• Strong Linux skills (Ubuntu/Debian)
• Docker & Docker Compose expert (you can write and debug compose files in your sleep)
• Basic networking: ports, firewalls, reverse proxies
• Scripting (Bash is essential; Python is a plus)
• Comfortable with ambiguity — you can figure things out when docs are incomplete

Desirable:

• Blockchain / crypto experience (running nodes, validators, or miners)
• Worked with GPU servers (NVIDIA drivers, CUDA)
• Used Ansible or similar for automation
• Familiar with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knows what Tendermint/Cosmos SDK is
• Has run nodes for Gonka, Gensyn, Bittensor, or similar

Personal traits:

• Curious and resourceful — you enjoy the hunt for solutions
• Security-conscious (you don’t open ports you don’t need)
• Can work independently
• English enough to read technical docs and write basic messages (speaking not required)

Availability:

• Core working hours: GMT+1 (flexible)
• Must be available on weekends for node deployments when needed
• Node uptime is money — when something breaks, we fix it fast

Compensation

• Base salary: Competitive (paid in USD or UAH weekly)
• Performance bonus: Significant percentage of protocol profits — the better your optimisation, the more you earn
• High performers share directly in the upside
