Odoo Developer

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience developing and customizing Odoo (version 19.0+e preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, XML, and QWeb templating
• Experience with Odoo modules including Helpdesk, CRM, Sales, Invoicing, Project, and eCommerce
• Ability to build and configure automation rules, scheduled actions, and custom workflows within Odoo
• Experience with third-party API integrations (REST/JSON), including communication platforms, shipping providers, and AI services
• Familiarity with VoIP/SMS integrations and telephony platforms
• Experience integrating AI or transcription services (OpenAI or similar) into business workflows
• Comfortable working with Odoo’s email routing, ticketing logic, and multi-channel communication setup
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Clear written communication in English — you will document your work and communicate requirements with non-technical stakeholders

Work conditions:

• Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
• Fully remote — work from anywhere
• Flexible hours with overlap during US Eastern Time business hours for communication and check-ins
• Project-based workload — tasks will evolve as the platform grows
• Contractor engagement; compensation based on experience (to be discussed)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and maintain custom features and automations within VoltiE’s Odoo environment
• Build and refine Helpdesk workflows including ticket lifecycle automation, routing rules, and SLA management
• Integrate Odoo with external platforms and APIs as needed (shipping, communication, AI services, payment flows)
• Implement AI-assisted features within the platform to support customer operations and internal teams
• Connect and configure Odoo modules across Sales, CRM, Helpdesk, Project, and eCommerce to support end-to-end business workflows
• Document all customizations clearly and maintain clean, scalable code
• Communicate proactively on progress, blockers, and delivery timelines
• Participate in brief syncs as needed; primarily async work environment
