Role Overview

The Medical-Legal Operations Specialist will serve as a critical bridge between healthcare providers and the law firm. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of medical evidence, from initial request to clinical analysis. You will ensure that every client file is medically complete and that treatment status is accurately monitored to support ongoing litigation.

Core Responsibilities

• Medical Records Procurement: Execute and manage formal requests for medical records across all healthcare providers associated with a case.
• Provider Liaison: Conduct proactive telephonic follow-ups with medical facilities to expedite the release of records and resolve any administrative bottlenecks.

• Clinical Treatment Monitoring: Call clients directly to confirm their treatment status is current, correct, and aligned with their recovery plan.

• Expert Analysis: Review and analyze medical records (including orthopedic and general medical charts) to ensure all relevant documentation is present and filed correctly.

• File Integrity: Own the «30-Day Win»: Ensuring all medical records for a client are collected, verified for accuracy, and successfully integrated into the firm’s case management system.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

• Medical Background (Mandatory): You must have formal medical training (e.g., Nurse, Physician, or Orthopedic specialist).

• Analytical Rigor: You have the clinical «eye» to understand medical charts and identify what information is missing or relevant for a legal case.

• Persistence & Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills are required for high-volume follow-up calls to US-based medical providers and clients.

• Systems Oriented: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously without losing track of pending requests.

• Remote Professionalism: Ability to work a full US East Coast shift (9:00 AM — 6:00 PM EST) from a dedicated, quiet home office.
