Перекладач, Field Interpreter (Evacuation Operations)

The ideal candidate

• speaks fluent Ukrainian and English
• has experience in interpretation/translation (field or humanitarian context is a strong advantage)
• has some experience working under high-pressure / in frontline or emergency environments
• physically and mentally healthy
• is attentive to details when translating sensitive or critical information
• can work in a quickly changing environment with little possibility to plan ahead
• willing to follow emergency procedures, mission rules and house rules
• willing to learn, receive constructive feedback, and remain communicative within the team

A very welcomed plus is:

• previous experience with humanitarian evacuations or NGOs
• driver’s license
• medical or first aid experience

Responsibilities

• provide accurate and timely interpretation between evacuees, team members, and partners
• support communication during evacuations, including briefings and coordination on the ground
• assist in translating essential information (medical, logistical, and safety-related)
• help ensure that evacuees clearly understand procedures, instructions, and available support
• assist in communication with local authorities
• support the team with basic documentation

Compensation

• please note that the first month of work will be on a voluntary basis, as funding is currently being secured
• we aim to transition this role into a paid position starting from May, subject to confirmed funding
• accommodation, body armour, and IFAK are provided by the organization
