    Job Description: Amazon Inventory Management & Logistics Specialist

    We are a Canadian e-commerce company seeking a world-class Inventory & Logistics Specialist for Mama Cheetah — a fast growing brand with 400+ SKUs selling across the Amazon US, Canada, UK, EU, and Walmart.

    This is not an entry-level role. You will take full ownership of forecasting, replenishment, PO management, supplier and forwarder coordination, 3PL/AWD management, Amazon reimbursement claims, COGS tracking, reconciliation, and supply-chain reporting. You’ll be expected to prevent stockouts, eliminate overstock, reduce costs, and keep all systems — Amazon, 3PL, AWD, and internal trackers — accurate and aligned at all times.

    Operating at this scale demands precision, speed, and zero-mistake execution across a large, complex SKU catalog. You will support the CEO, Operations Lead, SEO/Catalog team, and suppliers through reliable updates and proactive problem-solving.

    This is a full-time position (40 hours/week, 8 hours/day). We are building a long-term working relationship with the right person. Deep Amazon FBA inventory experience, strong operational judgment, and solid knowledge of Amazon account systems are required. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Inventory Forecasting & Demand Planning

    • Build accurate 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day forecasts considering Sales velocity, Seasonality, Historical Amazon data, Keyword/search volume, Advertising trends
    • Maintain precise safety stock levels across all marketplaces.
    • Prevent overstock, stockouts, aged inventory, and reduce monthly storage fees.
    • Analyze Sellerboard, Amazon dashboards and spreadsheets to generate replenishment orders.
    • Plan inventory transfers from 3PL → FBA based on stock levels and FBA constraints.

    2. Purchase Order Management

    • Create, track, and manage all Purchase Orders from creation to delivery.
    • Maintain accurate PO records including multi-price SKU batches, order quantities & shipment values
    • Confirm 30% deposits, partial payments, and supplier balance accuracy.
    • Ensure commercial invoices include correct quantities and unit prices.
    • Maintain supplier AP balances with zero discrepancies.

    3. Supplier & Production Coordination

    • Track production timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
    • Coordinate 3rd-party inspections and follow up on reports.
    • Reconcile produced vs shipped quantities for every order.
    • Communicate with suppliers regarding: Lead times, Production delays, Reimbursements for defects, Penalties for delays or mistakes
    • Ensure accuracy of PLs, packing lists, commercial invoices, and carton details.

    4. Logistics & Shipment Coordination

    • Create all Amazon FBA Shipping Plans (SPD, LTL, FTL).
    • Coordinate shipments from China and 3PL warehouses
    • Work with freight forwarders to arrange ocean, air, or courier shipments.
    • Track all shipments and manage exceptions, delays, or missing cartons.
    • Work with Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD) to minimize logistics fees.
    • Maintain 3PL portal accuracy, incoming stock, removal orders, and costs.
    • Document and track shipping invoices, PLs, PODs, and import documents.

    5. Inventory Management & Reconciliation

    • Track inventory stored at Supplier warehouses, AWD, 3PL, Amazon warehouses and In-transit
    • Reconcile supplier-reported stock vs internal stock tracker.
    • Track all quantities shipped from each order and with what unit price.
    • Monitor Amazon IPI score, aged inventory thresholds, and storage fees.
    • Manage stranded inventory and resolve listing or inbound errors.
    • Create removal orders when needed and track all associated 3PL costs.

    6. Amazon Reimbursements & Compliance

    • Open and manage reimbursement cases for: Lost inventory, Damaged inventory, Incorrect FBA weight/dimension fees, Incorrect measurements / overcharges
    • Resolve inbound discrepancies (missing boxes, wrong items, carton shortages).
    • Maintain compliance with Amazon TOS, FBA policies, and AWD requirements.

    7. COGS & Cost Accounting (support role)

    • Maintain a complete product cost catalog, accounting for: Per-order unit prices, Shipping & freight, Import duties, Warehousing cost, Amazon fees, Damaged goods
    • Calculate monthly COGS using LinkMyBooks or spreadsheets.
    • Track total inventory asset value across all locations.
    • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks:
      • Send Amazon settlements to QBO via LinkMyBooks (SOP with be provided)
      • Record inventory payments
      • Record COGS
    • Assist with monthly profit calculations.

    8. Reporting, SOP Development & Communication

    • Submit daily work reports and inventory updates.
    • Maintain accurate dashboards (inventory, forecasting, shipments, cost tracking).
    • Build SOPs for: Forecasting, COGS, Shipment creation, Reimbursements, Supplier payment tracking, VOC monitoring
    • Communicate effectively with CEO, Operations Lead, SEO/Catalog team, Graphic design team
    • Take ownership of the entire supply chain — from production to Amazon delivery.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years Amazon FBA inventory/logistics experience.
    • Proven success managing 300+ SKUs.
    • Strong command of forecasting, replenishment, and supply‑chain systems.
    • Ability to eliminate stockouts and prevent overstock.
    • Excellent English and communication skills.
    • Highly reliable, disciplined, and fast‑moving.
