About Runday 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ (runday.org): Runday is on a mission to make Ukraine healthier, happier, and more connected. We organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs in local parks. We aren’t just a running club — we are a grassroots community movement. Right now, we are looking for a visionary, high-energy Country Director to lead our next phase of growth and manage our daily operations in Ukraine.

The Role Your primary mission will be to multiply our impact. At the heart of this role is driving Runday’s expansion across Ukraine by launching new event locations and attracting a growing wave of runners and volunteers. As our Country Director & Growth Lead, you will be our one-person engine room and the only paid team member in the country. However, you won’t be doing it alone — you will work closely with and be fully supported by Runday’s founders and a small team of designers and developers. To succeed, you must be completely comfortable balancing this ambitious growth with the everyday administrative tasks that keep our community running smoothly.

What You’ll Do (The Mission)

• Scale Our Impact: Identify new locations across Ukraine and spearhead the launch of new weekly 5km events. This will involve travelling to these locations to help get them off the ground.
• Hack Our Growth: Experiment with bold, creative ways to increase runner turnout and volunteer participation at our existing events.
• Build Partnerships & Fundraise: Act as the face of Runday Ukraine to local businesses, international donors, and municipal authorities. Pitch, negotiate, and secure sponsorships and grants.
• Empower the Frontline: Support, train, and motivate our incredible team of local volunteer Event Organisers, ensuring they have the tools and morale they need to succeed.
• Roll Up Your Sleeves (The Everyday Admin): Manage the vital day-to-day logistics. This includes answering community enquiries, managing the distribution of milestone t-shirts, and keeping our administrative house in order.
• Shine online: Direct our Communications and Social Media campaigns.

Who You Are (The Profile)

• Hands-On Approach: You are a strategic thinker who is happy to dive into the daily operations. You know that packing a milestone t-shirt for a dedicated runner is just as important as leading a high-level fundraising meeting.
• The Growth Hacker Mindset: You aren’t afraid to push boundaries, try unconventional marketing tactics, and learn from failure. You know how to build hype and grow a community from the ground up.
• The Hustler: You are deeply proactive. You don’t wait for instructions; you see opportunities and you go after them.
• The Communicator: You are a natural networker who can inspire a crowd of runners, support a struggling volunteer, and confidently pitch a corporate sponsor.
• Bilingual: You have fluent, professional proficiency in both Ukrainian and English (both written and spoken).
• The Believer: You don’t need to be a runner, but you should genuinely believe in the physical and mental health benefits of free, accessible community sports.
• Bonus Points: Familiarity with the Ukrainian running scene or a corporate background in event sponsorship and promotion is a big plus, though not strictly essential.

The Offer

• Role: Part-time (3 days / 24 hours per week). Highly flexible schedule, though you will need to be available on occasional Saturday mornings to support events and launches.
• Location & Travel: Based in Kyiv but with the option to work remotely. You must be willing and able to travel in Ukraine to launch and support new run locations.
• Impact: The chance to genuinely shape the health, wellbeing, and community spirit of thousands of people across Ukraine.
• Compensation: $1,000 USD per month.
• Sart Date: Late April — Early May 2026
