SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine is the part of the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages International (SOS CV). As a non-governmental social development organization, we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners.

For the new long-term project, in alliance with Danish partner organizations, we are going to pilot a model for rebuilding sustainable child- and youth care in Ukraine. The project will consist of «hard» and «soft» components, which includes the construction and social parts.

For the financial support in realization of this project we are looking for an experienced and committed Finance Manager(f/m)

Location: Ukraine

Type of contract: Employment contract

Duration: about 4 years starting from 2024

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Economics.
  • At least 3−5 years of experience as an accountant, finance manager (experience in international organisations will be an advantage).
  • Excellent knowledge of the current accounting and tax legislation.
  • Proficient user of BAS CORP.
  • Experience in budgeting and document management (including electronic databases Vchasno, MEDok).
  • Confident user of PC and office software (Excel is a must!).
  • Knowledge of English (oral and written) at an above upper intermediate level.
  • Adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to work with large amounts of information and multitask.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Integrity, professionalism, responsibility, analytical thinking.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Control of project expenditures in accordance with the budget allocation.
  • Manage and allocate all project finances with a focus on organisational financial planning, accounting and budget administration.
  • Сlose cooperation with the Project Manager and the organization`s CFO.
  • Ensure proper implementation and execution of administrative and financial procedures.
  • Timely preparation of interim and final financial reports for the project.
  • Coordination of treasury functions (including advance payments).
  • Maintaining accounting records in BAS, Microsoft Navision software.
  • Participates in the procurement of necessary services, materials, equipment, etc. within the project, in compliance with the requirements of the SOS internal procedures.
  • Ensures regular reporting on the financial situation.
