Organization & Operation

Founded in 2016, Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction (GER3) in a non-profit that supports crisis-affected communities to build back better.

The GER3 team based in Kyiv is actively responding to support those most in need. GER3 has been operational in Ukraine since early June 2022, responding in affected communities alongside a range of local and international partners.

Position

The GER3 Procurement & Logistics Officer position is part of the GER3Ukraine team. The Procurement & Logistics Officer position is designed specifically to support the Ukraine Country Director and Ukraine Country Manager. The role involves assisting the Ukraine team operations with providing program procurement processes, logistic support of the activities, documentation, and other aspects of service delivery.

The Procurement & Logistics Officer, based in Kyiv, will work in Kyiv office. It is expected that the person filling the position will work 5 days per week with varying hours each day. This position is to be filled initially for three (3) months with extension likely throughout the duration of the GER3 Ukraine response program.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide and support the procurement process ensuring it aligns with GER3 Procurement Policy;
• Providing market research;
• Analyze the community requests and develop the task for procurement;
• Develop the request for commercial offers;
• Develop and prepare tender documentation;
• Provide bids analysis and prepare the summary for tender committee discussions;
• Documentation work;
• Track and regularly update the list of verified vendors and tender tracker;
• Provide vendors verification and complete the Acts of verification;
• Support logistics aspects of GER3 operations, plan, organize and coordinate deliveries;
• Communication with stakeholders;

• Assist in preparation of necessary reports, information and presentations needed for internal and external constituencies.

• Providing procurement of office supplies and other equipment to be used by team;
• Work in a solution-oriented manner to assist solving complex and demanding challenges.
• Contribute on a regular basis to generating new innovations and ideas to the benefit of the GER3 program team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Specifics

• This position will start within 14 days after the Offer acceptation, in support of the GER3 Ukraine, for an initial period of three months based in Kyiv.

• In the case where travel to other communities is necessary, all reasonable expenses (housing, food, transport, communication) associated will be covered by GER3.

• Compensation for this position will be $2,800 per month.

Qualifications

• Strong bilingual communication skills (English and Ukrainian);

• Based in Kyiv;

• Appropriate high education related to procurement & logistic;

• At least 2 years of procurement & logistic related experience;

• A demonstrated high level of personal responsibility and self-motivation;

• Smart and strong organizational skills, detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks under tight time constraints.

• Demonstrated professional aptitude that includes, but is not limited to, being responsible, disciplined, adaptable, accountable, client-focused and having a strong work ethic.

• «Can-Do», positive attitude and ability to overcome significant challenges by using problem-solving techniques, open-mindedness and adaptability.

• Strong team, problem-solving and inter-personal skills.
