The Claims Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving cargo, liability, and transportation-related claims. This role serves as the primary point of contact between carriers, customers, insurance providers, and internal departments to ensure timely investigation, documentation, and resolution of claims while minimizing financial risk to the company.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, and process cargo, liability, and transportation-related claims.
• Investigate claim circumstances and collect supporting documentation.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, insurance companies, and adjusters regarding claim status and requirements.
• Verify claim validity and ensure compliance with contractual and insurance obligations.
• Maintain accurate claim records and documentation in company systems.
• Monitor claim progress and follow up with involved parties to ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare claim summaries and recommendations for management review.
• Coordinate settlements and payment processing when approved.
• Analyze claim trends and identify opportunities to reduce future losses.
• Assist in developing and improving claims handling procedures.
• Support internal audits and provide claim-related reports as requested.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in English.
• Previous experience in claims processing, insurance, logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, or customer service.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to review contracts, insurance documents, and supporting evidence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
