A European technology company is launching its office in Kyiv and is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who will work with hardware devices, software installation, network configuration, testing, and technical support of complex systems.

The parent company is primarily a software producer. The company delivers complete system solutions with its own software installed on hardware devices, supporting a wide range of tactical use cases.

The main focus is hands-on work with technical equipment, system configuration, testing, hardware/software troubleshooting, and preparing systems for further use.

Main Responsibilities

• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and proprietary software.
• Prepare hardware devices for use with the company’s software solutions.
• Configure network equipment, including switches, routing, IP setup, TCP/IP, and VLANs.
• Assist with the physical assembly and integration of hardware components in racks, cabinets, or special enclosures.
• Perform standardised tests and document results for QA purposes.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues at both hardware and software levels.
• Maintain the test environment, including tools, servers, and network infrastructure.
• Follow internal procedures, checklists, documentation standards, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• 2−3+ years of experience in technical support, IT operations, system administration, network administration, technical production, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switches, and network configuration.
• Experience with hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Experience with operating system installation, driver setup, and basic system configuration.
• Ability to work with technical documentation, checklists, and standard procedures.
• Fluent Ukrainian.
• English — sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating with an international team.

Will Be an Advantage

• Experience with servers, network equipment, or complex technical systems.
• Experience in system integration or technical production.
• Experience in companies with high standards for quality, documentation, and security.
• Understanding of QA/testing processes for technical systems.
• Experience with military-tech, defence, telecom, security systems, or electronics will be a strong plus.
