## Backend Developer (PHP / PostgreSQL / Linux / SysAdmin)

### About the Role

We’re looking for a developer who’s comfortable working with web backends, databases, and server administration. You’ll help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our applications and the systems they run on. This is a great fit if you enjoy practical problem-solving and writing clean, reliable code.

### What You’ll Do

• Write and maintain web application features in PHP
• Design queries and manage data in PostgreSQL
• Work on a Linux server — deploying code, checking logs, and running basic commands
• Handle system administration tasks — server setup, user management, backups, updates, and monitoring
• Fix bugs and improve existing code
• Collaborate with the team to ship new features

### What We’re Looking For

• Solid understanding of PHP (functions, arrays, working with forms and APIs)
• Comfortable with PostgreSQL — writing SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE queries, joins, and basic table design
• Familiar with basic Linux commands (navigating folders, editing files, viewing logs, checking processes)
• System administration experience — managing Linux servers, configuring services (e.g. web servers, cron jobs), handling permissions, and keeping systems secure and up to date
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills

### Nice to Have

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Familiarity with REST APIs
