C++ Software Engineer Kyiv
– Core contributor to a cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux) multi-process desktop application built on
CEF/Chromium in modern C++23, working across the storage, IPC, networking, connection, crypto, and build
subsystems.
– Designed and own the local persistence layer: session, cookie, and credential storage on SQLite (SQLiteCpp),
LevelDB key-value storage, and AES-GCM encrypted file storage with a local secret manager built on OpenSSL.
– Engineered the connection and tunneling layer: SSH tunnels (plink), Tor (SOCKS5) integration on Windows and
macOS, and connection validation.
– Implemented the networking and backend layer: HTTPS via libcurl and gRPC/Protobuf (Centrifugo), a local Crow
REST server, and the backend API client and DAO layer.
– Built the applied-cryptography utilities — AES-GCM, HMAC-SHA256, HKDF, PBKDF2 (OpenSSL) — securing
data at rest and in transit.
– Developed cross-platform platform layers in parallel: Windows (WinAPI — shared memory, registry, network
adapters, process management) and macOS (Objective-C++ with Cocoa/IOKit/Security, oneDPL/TBB).
– Designed the concurrency model — a custom elastic thread pool plus std::thread, mutex/condition variable,
atomics, and futures/promises — keeping storage, crypto, IPC, networking, and streaming off the UI thread.
– Built the application auto-updater; eliminated memory leaks and optimized non-performant code paths; handled
deployments and hotfixes.
 – Own the build and release pipeline across both product repositories: CMake (3.20+, multi-target presets), Ninja,
vcpkg with static linking, MSVC 2022 and clang-cl/LLVM toolchains, multi-arch macOS (x86 64 + arm64) and
Windows x64, packaging (installer/zip/dmg), and a GitLab CI/CD pipeline with semantic versioning.
– Mentored and supported junior engineers and performed code reviews.
