Project Slice is a well-funded consumer Internet and social commerce company that provides new and compelling services for consumers and merchants in the retail industry.  The company is developing differentiated technology in the areas of machine learning, data mining and social computing.

 The company recently completed its Series A funding from two top-tier VCs on Sand Hill Road, and a group of well known individual investors in Silicon Valley, CA.

 Formal advisors include Prof Sep Kamvar (Stanford CS, Co-Founder CEO Kaltix/Google personalized search), Taher Haveliwala (Co-Founder CTO Kaltix/Google personalized search), Rich Landsman (former SVP Mail, AOL), Prof Garth Saloner (Dean, Stanford Business School) among others.

 The founders are a seasoned entrepreneurial team out of Stanford and have worked together for the past 10 years.  They founded their last venture, FiberTower Corp, in late 2000, raised $223M in equity funding, built the leading independent cell tower backhaul company for wireless operators in the U.S., and sold it to a public company in a $1.5B merger deal in 2006.
