The founder Nicolaas van Nes discovered the power of social media marketing in 2007 when he sold event tickets via Facebook. From 2012 to 2016, he was active in the gaming industry for a major Facebook free to play platform with 1000,000+ daily active users. Nicolaas discovered that there are large and medium-sized companies spending mega budgets in social media marketing via their marketing departments or agents without providing clear analytics and guarantee of ROI. It also surprised him that marketing & IT teams in large companies are still working in a very outdated way and that the current available social media tools are not or poorly technically integrated.
