Junior QA Engineer (0830)

Our client is a New York-based, tech-driven prestige beauty brand that is shifting millions of customers to shopping for beauty online.

They are building a disruptive, next-generation e-commerce experience for shopping makeup online by creating cutting-edge digital products and combining the worlds of e-commerce and social media.

They have more than 250 employees, in NYC, Tel-Aviv, Ukraine, and Serbia. The tech team in Kyiv includes 40 smart & talented Software Engineers & QAs.

Requirements:

• 1−1.5 years of QA experience in a formal testing environment, with web solutions, e-commerce applications, preferably with Magento
• Must understand modern testing methodologies
• Have strong test strategy development skills, including the creation of test plans, test cases, other testing documentation with or without a specification document
• Knowledge of SQL (basic level)
• Good technical knowledge of web application specifics
• Good knowledge of different web browser specifics
• Good spoken and written communication skills (English — at least Upper-Intermediate)
• Self-disciplined, goal-oriented, good team player

Preferred Requirements:

• Automation QA experience

Responsibilities:

• Build a test strategy, plan testing activities, create and maintain testing documentation
• Test the developed applications according to the requirements, specifications, and other project documentation
• Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, and inconsistencies in software
• Work very closely with Engineering in remediating defects
