Middle+ Web Developer (PHP, WordPress)

HivePress is a multipurpose platform for building directory and marketplace websites based on WordPress https://hivepress.io/ At the moment it’s used by 10,000+ active websites, and we’re working to turn it into an established ecosystem of software products.

As HivePress gains more popularity, we’re looking for a WordPress developer to join our team. If you enjoy working in a small, friendly team with a startup vibe and want to have a great impact on the software you’re building, then it’s the right place for you!

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in PHP web development
• Strong knowledge of WordPress API (themes, plugins, hooks)
• Strong knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML5 & CSS3
• Good knowledge of Git and development practices
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript (jQuery)
• At least intermediate English knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Developing the HivePress framework and extensions
• Providing general guidance for third-party developers
