arche noVa has started a relief program in Ukraine responding to the unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Since the 24th of February 2022, the war in Ukraine has shown no signs of abating and continues to drive increasing humanitarian needs across the country. The hostilities have resulted in civilian casualties that continue to grow and significant damage to infrastructure and buildings. The war has affected all spheres of life and uprooted millions of Ukrainians.

For the implementation of the arche noVa`s relief measures in Ukraine, we are looking for a Procurement & Logistics (P&L) Officer (national position)

Duration: until the 31st of December 2024, with the possibility of an extension

Position to be filled: asap

Duty station: city of Kharkiv with possible trips within Kharkivska oblast

Contract: consultancy or labour, with one month of a probation period

Under the direct supervision of the P&L Coordinator, the position holder will contribute to the smooth, efficient, and effective implementation of the arche noVa`s relief activities in Ukraine, working closely with the Project Coordinator and other team members as well as the implementing partners.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the P&L Coordinator in performing the project-related procurement, i.e. tenders, office supplies, warehouse and inventory, etc., while ensuring compliance with donors' guidelines, arche noVa internal regulations and relevant Ukrainian legislation

• Assisting the P&L Coordinator in the logistics processes, i.e. staff travelling, fleet management, etc.

• Assisting the P&L Coordinator in the implementation of the security measures to ensure the safety of the staff and arche noVa`s assets

• Ensuring the proper documentation of all assets and materials purchased within the framework of the project implementation

• Serving as an organisation’s focal point in terms of safety and security issues

• Performing other relevant duties as and when required

Requirements:

• Degree in procurement, logistics, transport management or other relevant fields

• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in P&L

• Strong knowledge of Ukrainian legislation in the field of P&L

• Experience in preparing tenders for construction works and materials

• Ability to work in a team

• Strong self-organisational skills

• Ability to work under stress

• Good command of Ukrainian and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory

• Readiness for occasional field trips bearing security and access considerations foremost
