Intellectual Property Protection Engineer

About Us:

Carbominer is a Ukrainian startup that developed innovative technology for capturing CO2 directly from the open air. We are on a mission to protect our intellectual property assets, and we are seeking a talented engineer to be a cornerstone of our endeavor.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP-related documents like patent applications, drafting agreements, and licensing and confidentiality agreements.
• Analyzing technical details to assess the patentability of our innovations.
• Managing patent portfolios per key markets, including the preparations of FTO and submissions of patent applications.
• Obtaining legal counsel on IP disputes and potential infringements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IP protection with our business strategy.
• Staying up-to-date with IP laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• A technical background and understanding of technical intricacies.
• Experience related to patent application preparation (experience with patent laws is a plus).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
