Senior PHP/Symfony Developer

Overview: We are looking to hire a talented PHP developer to manage our back-end services and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic. You will also be required to maintain the central database and respond to requests from front-end developers. To ensure success as a PHP developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, understanding of SOLID principles. Ultimately, a top-level PHP Developer can design and build efficient PHP modules.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting analysis of website and application requirements.
• Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.
• Produce detailed specifications.
• Responding to integration requests from front-end developers.
• Updating and altering application features to enhance performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of professional experience with Php.
• Knowledge of PHP web frameworks including Laminas, Zend or Symfony.
• Knowledge of Restful API.
• Knowledge of Doctrine ORM.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including ReactJs and NodeJs (would be a plus). Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming, SOLID principles and other best practices. Previous experience creating scalable applications.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of writing Sql Procedures, triggers, view, functions, query optimization.
• Ability to project manage.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with unit tests.
• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools
• JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
