Technical Writer for IT Product Documentation

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Technical Writer at Claimr, you will be responsible for creating clear, accurate, and engaging documentation that supports our platform’s capabilities and enhances user understanding.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
• Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights from technical teams into helpful guides
• Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
• Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
• Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role
• Ability to understand and document complex business processes and technologies
• Excellent writing skills in English, with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with a focus on clarity and ease of use
• Proficient in MS Office, Google Docs, GitBook and other documentation tools
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Experience working with engineering teams to create product documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a tech startup or in a company involved in software development
• Knowledge of marketing technologies and digital rewards systems
