Legal Specialist

Job Description

• Ability to draft, revise and negotiate construction and EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) contracts.
• Ability to draft corporate documents such as shareholders' meetings and board of directors' meetings and provide corporate advice to the management team.
• Provides advice on employment law when required.
• Provides management information and insights on all dimensions of business performance to facilitate discussion and decision making, both on a periodic basis and for ad-hoc management requests.
• Provides inputs and supports the preparation of the annual budget for own department, tracks expenditure and ensures adherence to the budget.
• Supports the development of the workforce plan for own department by providing inputs based on workload analysis and forecasting trends.
• Assists in the implementation of Otis’s vision, mission and cultural values across all employee groups in the department.
• Implements and monitors approved department policies, procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost-effective services.

Requirements of Successful Candidate

• 3+ years experience (mixed in-house and private practice experience)
• 3−5 years' experience in EPC/Construction Legal Field (preferred)
• Knowledge of Corporate and Employment Law
• Ability to speak and write and English as well as Ukrainian with knowledge of Russian (due to the area which will be covered)
• Admitted to practice law in Ukraine is beneficial but not a requirement
• Areas to cover: Ukraine, Kazakhstan and CIS countries (the lawyer will be the first point of contact for Kazakhstan and CIS countries and will assist a Ukrainian lawyer for legal issues in Ukraine)
