International Law Specialist (Business, Certifications)

Are you a lawyer specializing in International Business Law willing to develop your career in an international multilingual business environment?

Gonser is looking for an International law specialist to join our team for a full-time, long-term, hybrid position (possibly with some weekly dedicated work in the beautiful office in Lviv).

Career path

You will be cooperating with our Purchasing Department on certifications and compliance with the norms of the goods that we sell in our online e-commerce platform, which has been a market leader in Switzerland for 16 years. You will work under the supervision from our senior specialist on a set of reliable and progressive solutions in compliance/certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor updates in EU and Swiss legislation and technical regulations related to various product categories.
• Analyze certification requirements for imported goods: CE certificates, Declarations of Conformity, test reports, technical files, etc.
• Determine which certificates and documents are required for each type of product according to European and Swiss standards.
• Review and validate documentation provided by suppliers to ensure compliance with relevant norms.
• Prepare and update internal checklists, guidelines, and instructions related to product certification.
• Research and verify reliable sources of regulatory information for specific product types.

Requirements

• Background in law, regulatory compliance, international trade, or product certification.
• Understanding of EU regulatory frameworks (CE, REACH, RoHS, LFGB, LVD, EMC etc.).
• Ability to analyze regulatory documents and interpret technical standards.
• Strong research skills and ability to quickly locate relevant legal and technical information.
• English — strong working proficiency (B2 or above).
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and systematic approach to documentation.
