Position Summary

The Protection Coordinator will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for protection programming in Ukraine, including Child Protection (CP), Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). The role ensures high-quality implementation, compliance with donor standards, and alignment with international humanitarian principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee protection activities in Ukraine, including Child Protection, GBV, and MHPSS.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and protection staff.
• Conduct training and capacity-building for staff, partners, and stakeholders.
• Ensure quality implementation, monitoring, data collection, and reporting of protection activities.
• Contribute to program planning, needs assessments, and proposal development.
• Represent the organization at coordination meetings with donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor field-level implementation and recommend improvements where needed.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the Head of Programs Ukraine.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in humanitarian protection programming
• Strong knowledge of international protection standards (CP, GBV, MHPSS)
• Experience in donor reporting and grant proposal development
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
• Strong analytical and data management skills
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian
• Ability to travel frequently within Ukraine
