What you’ll be doing
Team leadership
- Lead the Safety team: assign tasks, control quality, develop team members
- Onboard new specialists and transfer standards and processes
- Report to management on team KPIs and the overall state of the Safety department
- Build and continuously improve internal Safety processes
Safety Score — full ownership
- Monitor and improve the company’s CSA score
- Manage inspections, violations, and DataQs challenges
- Build a system for monitoring, reporting, and preventive action
- Analyze trends and develop solutions to reduce risk
Operational Safety
- Oversee your team’s work to keep company documentation current: DOT registration, permits, insurance policies
- Ensure the team tracks driver documentation and renewal deadlines
- Set up and supervise drug & alcohol testing processes, including random testing
- Ensure timely filing of IFTA, UCR, permits, and insurance documents through your team
- Oversee the handling of insurance claims
- Direct the development of training materials and programs for drivers
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of Safety experience in the US trucking/logistics industry
- Hands-on experience with CSA scores, DataQs, and DOT inspections — required
- Experience managing or mentoring a team is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of DOT requirements and safety systems
- Detail-oriented, accountable, highly self-organized
- English — Intermediate or higher
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort handling complex, high-pressure situations
Please note: candidates without hands-on Safety management experience will not be considered.
Compensation
Salary is discussed individually based on your experience, skills, and potential. We’re open to strong candidates at different levels of seniority.
Work conditions
- Format: fully remote (no time-tracking/monitoring software)
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM — 12:00 AM (Kyiv time)
- Probation period: 3 months
- Paid time off and sick leave
